A breast lift, or mastopexy, removes excess skin, reshapes the breast, and repositions the nipple and areola when needed. The incision pattern depends on how much lift is required and the quality of the tissue.
A breast lift with implants combines reshaping with added volume. The implant does not perform the lift, and not every patient needs one.
