QuantumRF Body Skin Tightening
QuantumRF is a minimally invasive treatment that delivers radiofrequency energy beneath the skin to contract soft tissue. It may suit selected areas of body skin laxity when an operation that removes skin is not the right next step.
Introduction
What is QuantumRF body skin tightening?
QuantumRF is an InMode device that delivers pulsed bipolar radiofrequency energy through a slender cannula placed beneath the skin. The platform monitors tissue temperature and impedance while energy is delivered. The FDA-cleared indication is for dermatologic and general surgical procedures that require soft-tissue coagulation or contraction, or control of bleeding.
This is not an external, noninvasive skin treatment. It uses small access points and is planned as a minimally invasive procedure. It also does not remove loose skin. When laxity is substantial, an arm lift, thigh lift, tummy tuck, or body lift may provide a more predictable change.
Dr. Ambani determines whether QuantumRF should be used on its own, paired with liposuction, combined with another procedure, or not used at all. The choice depends on the amount of loose skin, skin quality, fat distribution, scars, health, and the change you want to see.

Honest guidance
Are you a good candidate?
YOUR CONSULTATION CONSIDERS
- A localized area of body skin has mild to moderate laxity that may respond to soft-tissue contraction.
- Your weight is stable and you understand that QuantumRF is a contouring treatment, not a weight-loss procedure.
- Your health, medications, implanted devices, prior procedures, and nicotine use have been reviewed before treatment.
- You accept small access points, swelling, compression when prescribed, activity limits, and a result that varies by anatomy.
THE RIGHT LEVEL OF TREATMENT
Skin laxity exists on a spectrum. QuantumRF may fill the space between treatments performed from the skin surface and surgery that removes excess skin, but it cannot reproduce the change of an excisional lift.
The treatment area and technique are selected only after an examination. Dr. Ambani will explain the likely degree of improvement, whether fat reduction is part of the plan, and when surgery or no treatment is the more appropriate recommendation.
A useful consultation defines both what the device may improve and what it cannot change.

What recovery involves
Procedure day
The procedure uses small access points and anesthesia selected for the area and extent of treatment. Dressings and a compression garment may be part of the plan.
Early healing
Swelling, bruising, soreness, firmness, and temporary changes in sensation can occur. Work, exercise, bathing, garment use, and medication instructions depend on the areas treated and whether another procedure was performed.
Results over time
The treated area changes as swelling settles and the tissue heals. Improvement is gradual, varies between patients, and may be affected later by weight change, pregnancy, aging, and skin quality.
Risks to discuss: Possible risks include bleeding, infection, fluid collection, burns or other thermal injury, delayed healing, firmness or nodules, contour irregularity, asymmetry, skin-color change, scarring, fat necrosis, altered sensation or nerve injury, undercorrection or overcorrection, anesthesia complications, and the need for additional treatment or revision.
Clear, personalized planning
Cost and self-pay care
Shoshana Ambani Plastic Surgery is a cosmetic, self-pay practice. Cost depends on the number and size of treatment areas, anesthesia, setting, supplies, and whether QuantumRF is performed alone or with another procedure.
An estimate can be prepared only after the examination defines the treatment plan. Financing options may be available for qualified applicants.
Thoughtful answers
Common questions
These answers are general. Your consultation is where Dr. Ambani applies them to your anatomy, health, and goals.
Is QuantumRF the same as Morpheus8?
No. QuantumRF places a cannula beneath the skin to deliver radiofrequency energy to deeper soft tissue. Morpheus8 delivers fractional radiofrequency through needles that enter from the skin surface. They are separate treatments and may sometimes be used within the same plan.
Is QuantumRF the same as liposuction?
No. QuantumRF is used for soft-tissue contraction. Liposuction removes localized fat. Dr. Ambani may use them together when both skin laxity and excess fat contribute to the contour.
Can QuantumRF replace an arm lift, thigh lift, or tummy tuck?
It does not remove excess skin and cannot match the degree of tightening available from an excisional operation. The amount and location of loose skin determine which option is appropriate.
Which body areas can be treated?
The device has handpieces for different treatment zones, but an examination is needed to decide whether a specific area can be treated safely and whether the expected change is worthwhile.
How many treatments will I need?
The plan depends on the treatment area, tissue quality, and whether QuantumRF is combined with another procedure. Dr. Ambani will set expectations before treatment rather than promise a standard number of sessions.
When will I see the final result?
Some change may be visible as swelling resolves, while tissue healing and remodeling continue over time. The pace and degree of improvement vary, and no specific result can be guaranteed.
