Introduction
Fillers vary in material, firmness, placement, and duration. The right choice depends on the area, tissue quality, desired change, and how temporary you want the result to be.
Dr. Ambani evaluates whether volume loss is actually driving the concern. Fillers cannot remove loose skin or reposition tissue, and sometimes surgery or waiting is the better recommendation.

Candidacy is personal. Dr. Ambani reviews your goals, anatomy, health, medications, prior procedures, healing history, and timing before recommending treatment.
She will also tell you when another procedure, further evaluation, waiting, or no treatment is the better plan.
A useful consultation is a discussion of what treatments, if any, are right for you.

Supported at every stage
Most patients return to routine quickly, but swelling, redness, tenderness, and bruising are possible. To minimize swelling, Dr. Ambani may offer a short burst of oral steroid medication.
With dermal fillers consisting of hyaluronic acid, results are visible immediately, while swelling can temporarily obscure the final contour.
Dr. Ambani gives product-specific aftercare and explains warning signs that require prompt attention. If asymmetries occur, they can be corrected with a small amount of filler injection on the other side, or with application of an injectable enzyme to melt away the filler, as needed. This is rarely needed.
Risks to discuss: Risks include swelling, bruising, infection, lumps, asymmetry, undercorrection or overcorrection, delayed inflammation, tissue injury, and rare injection into a blood vessel that can damage skin or vision.
